Six months ago I would have balked at the suggestion that Donald J Trump would be the republicans presumptive nominee. With the recent suspension of both the Cruz and Kasich presidential campaigns, we are faced with a new, unsettling reality. Donald J Trump will be running for president as a republican.
I think most people are asking the same questions I am about to pose. Whoever is Donald J Trump? Is he a true republican? Is he even who he says he is? Is he truly the lesser of 2 evils? And old addage comes to mind as I write this. Is it better to have the enemy you know or the enemy you dont? Not to say that he is our enemy but moreover that we don't know his true leanings.
It is my sincere hope that he will begin to be open and transparent. That he shares more of his policies, strategies and plans. We don't need another 4 years of lies, back room deals and the ever present threat of the presidents executive order. We need a president that represents us, as a people, and acts in our best interest.
